Objective: It is considered by Chinese traditional medicine that"The person has five internalorgans to generate five feelings of happiness, anger, sadness, sorrow and fear."The emotion isaroused by the function of internal organs. In western scholars'opinion, emotion stemed fromthe cognitive state and the physiology reaction neglecting body's internal function contributing tothe emotional state. Taichi exercise is able to regulate visceras'function so as to improveemotion and cognition status; Cognitive therapy can derectly develop cognitive ability leading toemotion and cognition change. This research aims at investigating and comparing the effect oftwo different intervention measures in regulating emotion and cognition state. This researchexplores a local, economical and effective mental therapy which is simple to operate, and couldbe further used easly.Methods: This research adopts 2*2 Factorial design, all subjects were divided into 4 groups:Taichi exercises combined cognitive therapy group, Taichi exercises group, cognitive therapygroup, control group.The research took convenient sampling method and the data was collectedby collecting questionnaires from sophomore students of a certain University in Shanxi province.After getting rid of invalid questionnars, we got 122 pieces of questionnaires which wascomposed of SDS, SAS, GSES, SAM, Stroop. Statistics analysis was carring on by SPSS18.0,using Factorial Examination to compare group effects. The concrete research is divided into 3steps: (1) Carrying on a base-line survey to the research object's sociology circumstance andemotion cognition state. (2) Building up step-wise regression model according to base-linesurvey so that to explore the factors that influence depression feeling and anxiety feeling. (3)Exploring main effects and interaction of two different methods.Results: (1) The base- line survey shows Girls' proportion is in 70.5% while the boys'is in29.5%. 10.7% students like athletics sport very much, 55.4% students like athletics sport, 28.6%students'attitude to the athletics are moderate,0.9% students dislike sport.(2) The regressionanalysis shows that the anxiety felling take a 28.6% point to explain depression feeling. SDS,GSES,and the threating feeling take a 50.7% point to explain anxiety feeling.(3)The regulationeffects of Taichi exercises and group cognitive intervention are significant and the interactioneffect is distinctive in curring anxiety feeling and improving self-control-appraisal.Conclusions: (1)Taichi exercises for regulating the emotion and cognition state of universitystudents is effective and it is simple to operate which could be used as a psychological therapy.(2) Group counselling is effective in regulating students'emotin and GSES state.(3)The effect ofgroup counselling method combining with Taichi exercises for improve university students'emotion and cognition condition is better.
