Students' Sense Of Responsibility In Educational Research

UNESCO's report"Learn Survival—Today and tomorrow of Education"mentioned that in 21st century everyone should possess comparatively strong capability of independence and judgment and everyone is demanded to strengthen his responsibility during the course of realizing the collective destiny. The course"Curriculum Standard of Moral Education"of middle schools also takes"understanding one person's social responsibilities and making efforts to be a responsible citizen"as one of curriculum objectives. Middle school students are a peculiar group who is facing the baptism of adult ceremony, so their moral standard and duty consciousness is the key to a nation's rise and fall. Along with the development of society, politics, economy and culture, malposition and deficiency in the field of ideological and ethical construction has been laid out. Most of middle school students'problems are closely related to the deficiency of ideological and ethical standard. So our first priority of ideological and ethical education is to raise middle school students'duty consciousness and make them to be responsible citizens. This essay, considering the significance of middle school students'duty consciousness education, defines the connotation of middle school students'duty consciousness, and analyzes the current situation and causes ( which includes the influences of society, school, family and individual ) of its deficiency among students. The viewpoint mentioned in the essay is to put emphasis on establishing clear values, enhancing social duty consciousness, strengthening education in school, deepening culture of duty consciousness. Through forming resultant force by four aspects, which are paying more attention to family education, perfecting culture of duty consciousness, enhancing self-cultivation and promoting self-duty consciousness, middle school students'duty consciousness will be greatly perfected and improved.
