Family precepts in ancient China are a kind of distinctive traditional culture, abundant in content, and involving a wide range of knowledge. It is said that all life experiences and lessons anyone may go through can be found in our country's traditional family precepts. The impact made by China's traditional family precepts is profounder than that of cultures of any other country. Quite a few traditional family precepts are related to how to admonish offspring, especially some experiences and methods concerning education of children in families worthy of our study. With social progress and time changing, the function and composition of a family, a cell of the society, will constantly change. Today, social material civilization is developing rapidly, and spiritual civilization requires corresponding improvement. And good home education and good family tradition make traditional family precepts an extremely important channel for construction of social spiritual civilization in our country. Good home education and strict morals formed just in children's infancy make them adhere to fine ethical tradition in their social lives for a long time in the future. No good home education can bring about prosperity or social stability in China. Some social problems and morals crises are becoming increasingly serious and juvenile delinquency and social destabilizing factors are constantly rising, for which one important reason is that home education is ignored.The reason why this study focuses on traditional family precepts is that the author of this thesis has seen such statement in The Great Learning"The ancients who wished to illustrate illustrious virtue throughout the kingdom, first ordered well their own states. Wishing to order well their states, they first regulated their families. Wishing to regulate their families, they first cultivated their persons. Wishing to cultivate their persons, they first rectified their hearts."From this, the importance of home education can be seen. The author hopes that the classic thoughts and practical experience of China's ancient sages can combine with home education at the present stage and that ways and methods can be found in traditional family precepts thoughts so as to provide effective help for preschoolers in home education in modern times. This thesis consists of three parts:Part one: The summary of traditional family precepts, definition and explanation of some basic concepts of family precepts, including definition, origin, characteristic and value of family precepts. Have a further knowledge of traditional family precepts through conceptual interpretation. This part lays foundation for the thesis.Part two: The preschool education thoughts in traditional family precepts. This part is made up of three aspects. The first aspect: Preschool moral education thoughts in traditional family precepts, which mainly include ethical education thoughts, cultivating one's morality thoughts and association education thoughts. The aspect aims to promote the development of preschoolers'moral education through interpretation of preschoolers'morality. The second aspect: Preschoolers'cognitive education thoughts in traditional family precepts, mainly explained from speech education thoughts and thoughts in scholarship. The purpose of this aspect is to strengthen cognitive development of preschoolers within the key period. The third aspect: Living skill education thoughts in traditional family precepts, mainly comprised of life education thoughts and skill education thoughts. The aim of this aspect is to promote preschoolers to learn to live in a healthy, independent and colorful way after illustration of living skills of preschoolers.Part three: Traditional education of contemporary preschool children's discipline of enlightenment. Mainly from three aspects, one is to overcome the concept of heavy wisdom light DE, cultivate the preschool moral habit; two is to improve the way blindly infusion pre-school children's cognitive ability; Three is to overcome the doting mentality, exercise haughty life skills of preschool children from traditional characteristically derive elite, take in its dregs, education for the contemporary preschool children to provide some enlightenment, causes this kind of traditional culture from pre-school children begin to develop down.
