The Value Of The Traditional Filial Piety Culture In Modern Family Ethics Construction

This work comprehensively utilizes literature survey, experience summary, dialectic analysis, interdisciplinary research, etc. to study the traditional filial piety culture; all these research methods are close related and complement each other. As a result, this work enriches the education methods of modern family ethics, and at the same time starts the new theoretical connotation of traditional filial piety culture. Utilizing traditional filial piety culture to enrich modern family ethics education methods is not only favorable to the all-round development of modern family ethics education, but also regarded as an inheritance of traditional filial piety culture. In this work, the modern value of traditional filial piety culture has been evaluated, and accordingly, through combining positive aspects with modern family ethics education, this culture has been transformed to be suitable to modern society. Therefore, compared with individual investigation on traditional culture or family ethics education, this research method provides a new thought, new view and new method. Meanwhile, this work also combines the popularity of traditional filial piety culture with new period development of socialist culture and ethics as well as building a harmonious society, which explores a new thought of family ethics education during the inalysis of the value of filial piety culture in modern family ethics education.The first chapter mainly illustrates the purpose of this work and its significance, current research situation as well as research idea and method. The second chapter talks about the )rigin, development, contents, features and effects of traditional filial piety culture in details, which are also the theoretical base for the study of traditional filial piety culture. In the third chapter, its value is discussed from three aspects. And the fourth chapter indicates the current absence of filial piety in family ethics education and relevant reasons. Now our country is in the period of social transition with rapid development of economy, the collision of diverse cultures makes people doubt the traditional filial piety culture. However, the cogent criticism on traditional culture, to some extent, makes people ignore the inheritance and development of its essence, and resulting in a series of problems, which fundamentally derive from the absence of the first lesson in ethics education-family ethics education. And accordingly, the fifth chapter analyzes the possible methods of filial piety education in current family ethics education.
