Early Days Of Ideological And Political Education Work

Founding of the PRC had opened a new chapter of the Communist Party's ideological and political education for college students. From 1949 to 1956, based on the rectification to the old colleges, we successfully completed the transformation from former education system to a new education system, as well as the transformation from the new democratic education to the socialist education. At this time, the ideological and political education focused on the central task of the country, like Land Reform,the Korean War and the intellectual movement. Through reforms in practice enhanced the political consciousness of college students, and made a good foundation on proletariat's Weltanschauung of undergraduates. This period had also gradually established the leadership system and working institutions of ideological and political education, and improved the system of political work. In this way, the ideological and political education was on the way of standardization and systematization from the very beginning, and also had accumulated valuable experience to the ideological and political education for college students'work.This paper focus on the main line of ascertaining the guide line of the higher education the structure of the ideological and political education's institutions,the set up of the ideological and political education's system and the ideological and political education of college students by practical activity. The paper comprehensively discussed the ideological and political education from the very beginning to its building up period.In this paper, I have analyses a large number of documents and historical files. Objective and actually, showing the original of ideological and political education in the early days, and sums up the law of the ideological and political education. This paper specifies the ideological and political education's work about undergraduates in the early days of RPC, and seeks a thorough description, not only explains the background of the wor,the form and the content, but also makes a main view of undergraduates. At the same time, the paper highlights the effects of the ideological and political education of undergraduates. Finally, I appraise the ideological and political education in the early days and made the overall evaluation of the work, and explain some of my own opinions.
