High School Seniors To Establish The Status Of The Physical Modeling Capability Study

With the deepening research of quality education, the ability of establishing physical models and applying the models to solve the physical problems has been attracted many high school physical teachers'attentions. How to teach physical models effectively has become an issue that the teachers continue to explore. The study on the formulation and implementation of the building of the physical modeling for high school students has been established. The research work will be help for educators to build the teach strategies of the development and implementation.On the research of a large number document and foreign literature of physical models, the concept and the common classification of the physical models have been classified. The common process and methods on establishing physical models are studied. The concept of physical models is presented by combining the definition of the definition of ability of psychology. The physical models of the thinking process is divided into eight sub-indicators. There are physical scenarios analysis, task analysis, the subjects identified, force analysis of the study and analysis of movement, highlighting the main factors and ignore the secondary factors, the models being first built, the evaluation models changes, and models validation, respectively. The eight indicators are refined and quantified. We mainly adopt the measurement methods and oral report on the implementation of the measurement of high school seniors. In order to get more fully understand of the situation of the students, the questionnaire and individual interviews are carried out. They can help students to grasp the physical models and the awareness of the models concerns on the key to the usual learning. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the results, the following conclusions can be derived. (1) The basic methods are seldom used for students in the building of physical models. The basic thinking process is lack in the establishment of physical models. (2) The students often feel difficult to highlight the main factors and ignore the secondary factors in the face of lack of the related data and the physics models to be simulated. They feel difficult to seize the essence of the problem and to establish scientific and reasonable physical models. (3) Although some students can describe the physical problem good, most of the other students cannot do well, which also affects their ability to create physical models. (4) Students cannot mastered the characteristics of the classical physical models that they have studied. They cannot understand the application conditions of the physical models. (5) Students are poorly understood the definition of physical models, classification and modeling significance, which can directly affects the students to develop the ability to correct and reasonable physical models. (6) Students cannot pay special attention in the active learning of physical models. Some individual students think that the ability to create physical models is useless. (7) In the research, we can find that the ability of the physical models building has obvious positive correlation with their physical test scores.
