That Modern prose is the leading genre in high school textbooks has been the consensus of Chinese language educator. According to the latest "language curriculum standards", secondary school language teaching is one of the important goals to improve students overall language literacy, in this context, the election of the high school textbooks as the main text of the modern prose must have its meaning, and teaching of modern prose the formation of language literacy of middle school students must have their special role.
