Physics Self-Efficacy Scale of senior middle school students is composed of general physics task efficacy scale and special physics task efficacy scale. The special physics task efficacy is composed of 6 factors including knowledge learning efficacy, experiment skills efficacy, method learning efficacy, science exploration efficacy, solving physics problems efficacy and practical application efficacy. By analyzing the reliability of the scale, the results are the internal reliability at 0.966 levels, which shows the scale with good reliability. The scale also has good construct validity from factor analysis of it. The criterion related validity is also good by using student's confidence to learn physics as validity criterion. This is a scale with ideal surveying indicators.The scale is used to study the level of the physics self-efficacy for senior middle school students in Shandong. The results show:the average score of senior middle school students in physics self-efficacy is 146.7622 (the score range from 44 to 220, the medium is 132). When the number of the item is divided by the average score on each dimension, the result is between 2.9839 and 4.0627 (the score range from 1 to 5, the medium is 3).The scale is used to study the gender & grade differences in their physics self-efficacy. The results show:the physics self-efficacy of boys is higher than those of girls in the whole scale and all factors. The physics self-efficacy of students in grade three and grade one is significant higher than those in grader two in the whole scale and all factors(except experiment skills efficacy factors). The solving physics problems efficacy of students in grade three is significant higher than those in grader one.The scale is used to study the differences between different achieving levels (the high-achieving students and the low-achieving students) in their physics self-efficacy. The results show:there is significant difference between different achieving levels on the whole scale, the physics self-efficacy of the high-achieving students is significant higher than those of the low-achieving students.The scale is used to study the relationship between the physics achievement and physics self-efficacy, achievement goal orientation, achievement motivation. The results show:physics self-efficacy, performance-approach goal and performance-avoidance goal have a direct influence on the physics achievement. Master-approach goal and the motivation of pursuing success have an indirect influence on the physics achievement.
