As a special group of teachers, new teachers will face many problems in the first few years, especially psychological stress. Whether the new teachers can face and solve the problem of psychological stress, determine whether they can adapt smoothly through the entry adaptation period and whether they choosing teaching as a lifelong careerTo better understand the new teachers, this study focuses mostly on the psychological stress of high school new geography teachers, and the samples of the study are 2007 th -2010 th Geography graduates of Shaanxi Normal Universjty. The research methods of the study are questionnaire survey and interviewing survey. Through statistical analysis of the survey data, we can find the level of psychological stress and the psychological stress sources of high school new geography teachers.The research results include:(1) 62.5% of high school new geography teachers think that "the stress is big" or "the stress is very big".The average level of the psychological stress is 3.69, indicating that high school new geography teachers are facing big psychological stress. (2) About the negative impact of psychological stress,50.7% of the respondents believe that "the impact is great" or "the impact is very great". The result indicates that the negative impact of psychological stress on high school new geography teachers is quite obvious. (3) The psychological stress source of high school new geography teachers is multidimensional, including eight factors:personal capacity factor, career development factors, self-expectations, school management factors, work load factors, interpersonal factors, student factors and social factors. Among them, social factors, student factors and their capacity factors have greater impact on high school new geography teachers. (4) The analysis of psychological stress source in the difference of gender, education, region, segment and other demographic variables:the difference of psychological stress source in sex, segment and whether being a class teacher is relatively obvious, and the difference of psychological stress source in education and region is relatively not so obvious.The detailed analysis of the causes of high school new geography teachers' psychological stress: social factors include the high social expectations and the low income; student factors include large individual differences of students, students'motivation is not strong and students are more difficult to manage; personal factors including the lack of professional knowledge, the lack of practical knowledge, high self-expectations, lack of professional beliefs and psychological quality is too low; occupational factors, including heavy workloads and lack of coordination of the professional interpersonal relationship; school factors are mainly the management reasons of high school and Normal University.For the psychological stress of high school new geography teachers, this paper puts forward four mitigation measures and suggestions from the point of view of the new geography teachers themselves, high school management, Normal University management and the society.This thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is the introduction which introduces the research background,significance,research methods and the technical route of this research.Chapter two is the review of the research at home and abroad,as well as the definition of concept.Chapter three is the research result and reason analysis. According to the statistical result of the data provided by the questionnaires and interviews,the results are summarized from the eight major dimensions of the questionnaire,and five fators affecting teachers' psychological stress:social factors, student factors, personal factors, occupational factors and school factors. Chapter four is the strategies and suggestions respectively for the new geography teachers, high school, Normal University management and the society. Chapter five contains the conclusions and the existing problems of this research.
