China has launched a new curriculum reform since 2001 with the tide of curriculum reform, and the new curriculum was the full implemented in 2010. The important role of implementation of the new curriculum is to construct high quality teachers, so that the quality of basic education can be improved. That the high school biology teachers' knowledge can or not satisfies the requirement of the new curriculum at present is related to the new curriculum can be carried out smoothly or not, and it is also a problem of studying and discussing in depth in the background of the china biology teachers' professional development.In the background of requirements of teachers' professional development and new curriculum being overall implemented, studying the status of high school biology teachers' knowledge structure can provide certain research foundation for teacher education, teachers' in-service training and constructing theory models of the teachers' knowledge structure, and it is important significance to improve the quality of biology education in high school.This study analysised the teachers' knowledge structure theory research of domestic and foreign by literature. According to the results of literature research, this study designed questionnaire in four aspects of teachers' ontology knowledge, conditional knowledge and practical knowledge and cultural knowledge around the biology teacher knowledge.139 teachers of 21 ordinary high schools in nine districts of Shaanxi province were surveyed. Analyzing to the survey results, find that high school biology teachers' professional knowledge of Shaanxi province exist many problems to be solved, such as short of the new experiments'knowledge of new textbook, the knowledge of development of biological science and biology front being fragment and scattered. Teachers know something about curriculum standard, but don't pay much attention to it, are short of the basic theoretical knowledge of empoldering course. Teachers have certain basic knowledge of education psychology, but don't know how to use it in a scientific way. Understanding to the knowledge about the new teaching theories and biology teaching strategies, teachers does not reach the designated position. The research ability of education scientific is not good and lack of some necessary research knowledge. Cultural knowledge is not good and so on. According to the survey results and combining with the demands of the new curriculum and the characteristics of biological sciences, Put forward some suggestions to optimize and perfect teachers' knowledge structure in three aspects of previous teachers' education, after-employment education and the school construction and management.
