Since the 1980s, the related research on teachers'professional development has become the hot topic,and emerged in numerous studies, and has already as a special field of study and exist. Basic education reform in China developed quickly in 21 century, The problem about teachers'professional development have also been double attention. Our high school English curriculum reform with the ordinary high school English curriculum standards (experiment) formally published and started. Facing the new curriculum brings opportunities and challenges, the high school English teacher professional development as the necessary support of the high school English curriculum reform has been double attention. Under the background of the new curriculum high school English teachers'professional development, the present situation and the development strategy research has theoretical value and practical significance.This study on the basis of related theories about teachers' professional development and there concept of high school English curriculum reform,let the high school English teacher of laiwu city in Shandong province as the research object, The way are interview and questionnaire, In order to understand realistic situation of current high school English teachers'professional development, On the basis to offer issues on English teacher professional development strategy.This paper consists of five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction. Put forward from five aspects:the research background, significance, thinking, research and research methods, instruce the roughly purpose and thoughts, and screen and thinking the research idea and method, prepared for the paper.The second chapter is the research on related concepts of teachers' professional development.The research on concept is the basis of the study. This section firstly analysis the relationship and difference of the concept of professional and career. Then is the analysis of teacher's profession. Teachers' professional specialization is the develop stage of teachers'professional development. The chapter three is the related study of teachers'professional development. There are two aspects:external environment and Inner subject. The external environment is the curriculum reform, mainly analysis the policy promote,the specificity of high school English course and the facing circumstance of the reform.The inner subject is English teacher, mainly analysis the teachers' role,facing circumstance,teaching practice and teaching practice wisdom.The chapter four is the resent situation investigation and analysis on high school's English teacher. Firstly is introduce the teachers'basis situation. Then is statistics and analysis of survey results. Include three aspects:the high school English teachers' professional cordiality,professional knowledge,professional skill.The chapter five is the strategy of high school English teachers' development.
