The metareading viewpoint formed on the basis of the cognition psychology concerning metacognition. The metareading is the cognition of the reading progress of students. Educational reform of reading in European and American of late years attach importance to metareading,form a great deal of research results of theory and practice. The research of metareading in foreign countries brought profound meaning for educational reform of reading in Chinese elementary and secondary school.But,how to develop training of reading strategy in normal classroom teaching is a actual puzzle for Chinese teachers. So the researches of this matter have realistic significance.The paper describes a experiment of Junior in Liaocheng No.1 Middle School. The experiment took a training mode of combining reading strategy with metareading strategy. All the students have improved the marks and interesting. The effect is obvious for the excellence and good students of arts in reading strategy experimentation. The effect is more obvious for the excellence and good students of arts than students of science in combining reading strategy experimentation with metareading strategy experimentation. The effect is like for the pass and fail students of arts and students of science. In all,the effect is obvious for students of arts.
