Pep "chemistry And Life" Teaching Methods

Reform of the new chemistry foundation education course has been started completely in 2001,the new high school chemistry course standard has also come into use with the development of the reform.Core of this reform is reform in education.In the new course, teaching principle, material structure, course content, teaching method and the evaluation method all have been changed greatly, and which resulting another is how to teaching under such condition. This work focused on this and supplied some opinions."Chemistry And Life" published by the People's Education Press (PEP) is selected to do the work. Meaning of teaching methods as well as the relationship among the teaching aims, teaching contents and teaching approach paper elaborated in this paper. Based on reorganizations, statistics and analyses, the text book is composed by five columns, which are thinking-communion-discussion, experiment, information, exercise, and knowledge generalization, respectively. Methods which are thought suitable to different column are proposed.Near to life, back to life is the main idea of the composition of the module of "Chemistry And Life",which is thought to be a great help for students to master the chemical knowledge linked to life as well as knowledge related to chemistry in life, which is also redound to develop a good accomplishment which is required as a qualified citizen in the future. This is not only needed by the new curriculum, but also the chemistry interest development and improvement of learning methods to students. During teaching, teachers should re-recognize themselves, re-win themselves a place in the new curriculum.The author also thought that the study of chemistry in senior high school should be related to life. The class of "Chemistry and Life" of PEP should be a lived one and socialized one. Teachers should accumulate social experience and specialty back ground, sensitive to new information and technology. Meanwhile, they must pay attention to the depth and width of teaching, keep trying and increase their experience while teaching.
