With the advent of globalization and China's economic, social and cultural development, the phenomenon of idol worship in the new era there are some new features.Through the depth interviews of with part of the Chengdu "corn" and analysis on the basis of literature,the orther made a conclusion of the features on the idol worship in the new era, and analysed the cause from sociological point. Idolatry in the contemporary show the characteristics of adult-oriented, showing a trend of clustering, and high consumption trend. These characteristics from one side shows that in modern, idol worship idols apart based on the respect, admiration for the motivation, there are other motives. In the adult-oriented analysis, the author believes that part of the adult is due to the tendency of children produced entertainment idol obsessed, addicted to entertainment consumption, the other part is due to idol worship by the way desire more participation in social life, and expand social range, be recognized by society. In cluster analysis, the author starts from the draft, period to period and the non-draft pick of the idol worship were analyzed. Groups during the draft is due to the formation of a collection of impulsive behavior, non-draft period is convenient in the online social networking environment because of human nature and the sheep mentality clustering driven formed. In the analysis of high consumption, the author mainly through the construction and consumer demand idol idol idol with the consumption of symbolic meaning and has recognized the effectiveness of communication in three areas to illustrate the idolatry of the high propensity to consume. Finally summarizes the positive and negative features of contemporary idolatry. Article on the understanding of contemporary idolatry of the new features of this social phenomenon has made a useful exploration.
