Theory Of Habermas's " Crisis Theory " And Its Contemporary Value

Capitalism has been in late capitalism so far. Compared with laissez-faire capitalism, late capitalism changes a lot. In order to treat the development of capitalism in the new history condition, we should not only insist the basic principles and method of Marxism, but also absorb alien scholars' rational opinions of crisis of late capitalism.This paper will seek the value of the theory for socialism with Chinese characteristics through analysing for Habermas' theory of crisis, who is famous scholar in western Marxism. The main content, conclusion and innovative points are as follows:Habermas analysed and criticised that late capitalism had fall into crisis and dilemma with the paradigm of the relation between system and lifeworld. And he create a whole set of crisis theory. I think habermas' crisis theory can be divide into two, that is , methodology and basic principle. On methodology, habermas accept Luman' system theory and Shultz' lifeworld concept, and then he integrate them into the paradigm of the relation between system and lifeworld. This paradigm can analyse crisis and dilemma in capitalism effectively. On basic principle, Habermas thought economic crisis had diverted to political crisis or cultural crisis by virtue of system mechanism of 'input-output'. However, lifeworld colonized by instrument rationality can not provide enough motivation to meet system. Thus, capitalism economic crisis, rationality crisis, legitimation crisis and motivation crisis arised in late capitalism.Habermas' theory of crisis has theoretic values and revelations to develop socialism with Chinese characteristics. There are there revelations. First, avoid the risk of crisis from capitalism globalization; Second, handle correctly the relation between economic development and cultural construction; Third, handle correctly the relation between economic development and social construction.There are three innovative points in this paper. First, researching Habermas' theory in two aspects of methodology and basic principle; Second, proclaiming the research paradigm on Habermas' theory, that is the paradigm of the relation between system and lifeworld; Third, analysing and researching the experience on building socialism with Chinese characteristics through this paradigm.
