With the rapid development of urban society, more and more children of farmers who worked incity come to the city following their parents with the reason that their parents want them to get abetter education in a better environment. However, due to urban-rural dual structure and thehousehold registration system, they not only failed to achieve these aspirations, but also sufferedfrom the exclusion of city system and discrimination of urban residents. Face discrimination, theyhave different subjective experience called perceived discrimination. Perceived discriminationhave a great impact on their lives, learning and other aspects, especially on learning which is as animportant way to acquire new knowledge and the formation of healthy personality for children offarmers who worked in city怂The impact on learning might have a great influence on their futurewhich is difficult to predict. Therefore, we need to focus on the impact on their learning caused byperceived discrimination, find and solve possible problems and encourage them with a positiveattitude towards learning. We should try our best to shape a good learning and growth environmentfor them. In order to achieve the purpose, we should pay attention to the correlation between theproblem maker--perceived discrimination and the learning of children of farmers who worked incity, what type of impacts on learning may exist caused by perceived discrimination, what theconsequences of these impacts will produce different effects and how to deal with theseconsequences. Therefore, this study based on the effects of learning caused by perceiveddiscrimination to analyze problems that may arise, and then think about how to get involved insocial work according to specific problems. In this study, we conducted a field survey in two schools of children of farmers who worked incity in Beijing. That is to say perceived discrimination hasan obvious and negative effect on the learning of children of farmers who worked in city at acertain degree. In addition, the results of previous analysis and comparison of the combination ofcase interviews hold the view that perceived discrimination but also play a stimulating on thelearning of children of farmers who worked in city in the certain perception. This perspective isthe same to rejection-identification model which claimed that there may be a negative impacteffect and the positive impact of consistent advocate. Based on research presented and the theoryof social work, we correspond intervention strategies.
