As a part of the disabled group, college students with hearing impairment become excellent members of the deaf group through higher education.Compared with normal college students, hearing impaired college students have hearing organ defects and hearing disorders. On the one hand,it will directly lead to adaptability problems such as verbal communication and social communication;on the other hand,it will easily lead to external discrimination and personal inferiority complex.Previous studies have shown that the self-esteem level of hearing-impaired college students is not optimistic and significantly lower than that of healthy students.Discrimination,as a typical negative life event, significantly affects the self-esteem level of hearing-impaired college students. However, the relationship between discrimination perception and self-esteem is uncertain,so it is necessary to explore the influence of potential regulatory variables. It is necessary to compensate for the defects of college students with hearing impairment, whether it is to enhance their adaptive ability or to enhance their sense of self-esteem.The defect compensation for hearing impaired college students can be divided into external compensation and self-compensation.External compensation is to make up for its defects with the help of external support forces,in order to reduce the various adaptation difficulties caused by the defects, and to provide relief, education and rehabilitation to the hearing-impaired people is an external compensation. It is necessary to construct good order society and promote social justice.Self-compensation is the behavior of students with hearing impairment who take the initiative to make up for and improve their own defects,is the embodiment of subjective initiative of college students with hearing impairment. In order to truly enjoy a dignified life and to play a more positive role in promoting external compensation, college students with hearingimpairment must pay attention to and activate their self-compensation.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the self-compensation status of college students with hearing impairment and its effect on discrimination perception and self-esteem.Therefore,we assume that there is a certain relationship between discrimination perception and self-esteem of hearing-impaired college students, and self-compensation plays an important role in regulating the relationship between discrimination perception and self-esteem.Because there are no special research for self-compensation of hearing-impaired college students at present, this study is based on literature review and self-abasement compensation theory to consult special education teachers,hearing-impaired college students and special education experts.According to the opinions of these people, the dimension of self-compensation of college students with hearing impairment is constructed, and the formal questionnaire of self-compensation for college students with hearing impairment is formed after being tested, adjusted and revised. The questionnaire includes three dimensions: physiological compensation, social compensation and developmental compensation, and the 5 grade scoring method. In addition, according to the individual discrimination events of hearing impaired college students, the questionnaire of individual discrimination perception was adjusted.A total of 289 college students with hearing impairment were selected to participation in investigation in Chongqing province,Shandong province,Sichuan province and other places.Based on the statistical analysis of effective data, this paper discusses the self-compensation of college students with hearing impairment and its effect on discrimination perception and self-esteem.The conclusions of the study are as follows:First, the self-designed questionnaire for self-compensation of college students with hearing impairment has good reliability and validity, which meets the requirements of pedagogy and psychometrics, and is suitable to be used as an investigation tool to study the situation of self-compensation of college students with hearing impairment.Second, the overall level of self-compensation of hearing-impaired college students is higher than that of others.Among the three dimensions, the social compensation score is the highest, the second is developmental compensation, and the physiological compensation score is the lowest.Third,Hearing impaired college students' self-compensation has significant differences in gender, census register, whether or not to take corrective measures, and the degree of hearing loss, but there was no significant difference in grade, familystructure, family income.Fourth, perceived discrimination and self-compensation can significantly positively predict the level of self-esteem of hearing impaired college students.Fifth,self-compensation plays a regulatory role between discrimination perception and self-esteem.Under the condition of high developmental compensation, the discrimination perception of hearing impaired students had stronger positive prediction to their self-esteem,and under the condition of low social compensation, the positive prediction of hearing impaired college students' discrimination perception to their self-esteem was stronger.
