After the research of comparing school social work with ideological and political educationof college student, a conclusion is drawn that it’s necessary for them to form an alliance.Meanwhile, the research on the methods and meanings of the alliance is done.As one of professional social work’s practical fields, school social work has a developmenthistory over a hundred years in western developed countries and areas, and forms acomparatively mature system of professional knowledge and theory. School social work is aservice to help others and self. It considers the overall students as its service targets,especially those who have difficulties in study and livelihood, helps them solve all kinds ofproblems, and promotes their advancement and development in abilities by professionalsmaking use of professional work methods and knowledge. But because of late start and slowdevelopment, in our country, especially in the hinterland, school social work confronts withsome corners as low public recognition, insufficient professionals, limited professionalaccomplishments of workers, deficient, guarantee of policies’ systems, lack of funds and soon.Ideological and political education,which holds the core place in the students’ work systemof college student,always plays an important role in talents-cultivating in our country’scolleges and universities. But under the influence of traditional work methods of colleges anduniversities’ ideological and political education, and the challenges from the changes ofeducational objects resulted from external environment, its problems in lack of theeffectiveness and pertinence of current ideological and political education of college studentbecome obvious gradually, which even more can’t meet the modern students’ demands ofdiversified benefits, growing up and developing fully and healthily, and also can’t keep upwith the pace of modern society.Although being different from each other greatly, school social work with ideological andpolitical education of college student have some commons in theory basis, work object, workvalues, work contents, work methods, work staffs, work goals and so on. The similarities isthe foundation stone of the alliance, while the differences and mutual supplements arenecessary conditions. So, this article argues that, through the alliance of school social workwith ideological and political education of college student, such as the mutual supplement in workers, the mutual reference in methods, the mutual reinforce in effects, it can not onlybreak each other’s difficult situation effectively, but can dealt with common various problemsprecisely resulted from external challenges, achieving a state of win-win.Across the comparison between school social work with ideological and political educationof college student on theory basis, work object, work values, work contents, work methods,work staffs, work goals and work functions, we discover, their alliance in work staffs, workmethods and work effects, can not only solve the college students’ various problems, satisfytheir diversified demands, realize their full and healthy development, open a new state ofideological and political education work of college student, but can make school social workspread powerfully and drive its advancement, thus reaching the win-win. The article mainlyuses the methods of document research, comparative research and synthetic research to studythe paper’s theme.
