Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is a special discipline, and in the history of the development has been more than60years. In the early eighty’s to the early ninety’s, language and culture, language teaching and culture teaching had been discussed in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In the process of language teaching, the integration of culture teaching can not only improve the learners’cross-cultural communication ability, more conducive to improve its language skills. As is known to all, there are a lot of cultural differences between different ethnic groups as well as in different countries, which leads to the principle that different scholars need to adopt different culture teaching strategies and characteristics. During the period of writing essays in Cambodia, a lot of investigation and study about the state of the union local learners’ characteristics and needs had been done. Found out that culture teaching in the Chinese language teaching in Cambodia is involved in the following problems:First, teaching resources are not targeted, the teaching material "learn Chinese with me" used in school is focus on European and American students, although the grade one to grade three students are using the Cambodia language edition, which is the simple translation from the English teaching materials. Secondly, the text content of teaching material is lack of local characteristics, which is not enough to attract local students. Third, the cultural knowledge in the back part of the textbooks does not conform to the students of grade, which seems over difficult. Meanwhile, some corresponding strategies has been found out:from the point of teaching content, the teaching material accords with the local situation is really in need, and teachers would better choose the content in which the students are interested, from the mode of teaching, the teaching method giving priority to the teacher’s integration and a variety of teaching methods would better be used at the same time. The principle of the culture teaching in Cambodia:pertinence principle, the principle of appropriateness, progressive principle, comparative principle, which have been also discussed, as well as the teaching tactic of the culture teaching in Cambodia.
