In the trend of international Chinese language education development,the development of localized Chinese language teaching materials has become a trend.In order to better adapt to local conditions,this article has compiled a listening aid teaching material based on the main teaching materials of "Huawen"(Cambodian Middle School Edition)Volume 1 and 2according to the importance of Chinese listening in Chinese teaching,combined with local actual conditions.The aim is to help students improve their Chinese listening ability and cope with practical language situations.In the process of compiling this listening aid teaching material,the following issues were addressed: firstly,the target audience and difficulty level of the listening aid teaching material were determined.Listening materials were set up and corresponding exercises such as multiple-choice questions,fill-in-the-blank questions,and oral practice questions were designed to meet the students’ listening training needs.At the same time,the diversity and authenticity of the listening materials were also improved to enhance students’ listening ability and ability to cope with practical situations.In addition,some practical techniques for designing exercise books were provided,such as using multimedia technology and combining real-life situations,to help students learn Chinese better.After testing at Hun Sen Xingzhong School in Phnom Penh,Cambodia,most teachers and students gave high evaluations of the teaching material,believing that it is highly applicable and achieves the expected purpose of compilation.However,some shortcomings were also discovered during the trial.For example,the design of the teaching material layout is not professional,weakening the aesthetics;the targeting of the listening exercise questions can be improved.These deficiencies discovered in the trial will serve as the direction for further revision and improvement,to better meet students’ needs and improve the practicality and applicability of the teaching material.
