In2001, The National Program for Elementary Education Curriculum Reform (Trial) was issued by China’s Ministry of Education. The program indicates that while implement the state and local curriculums, schools should combine schools’ character and advantages with interests and needs of students, leading to develop or choose some curriculums which suit schools themselves. Miniaturization of curriculum has turned into a major trend in curriculum reforms. The whole course system will be more flexibility and more variety by integrating Minicourse in the course architecture.The emphasis and difficulty of junior chemistry class will always appear in each module of education, but students at every level have their own learning ability, which results in the differences are showed clearly in the process of breakthrough of each individual. To consider the real-life needs and the feasibility, this paper concentrates on the design and the application research of Minicourse. At the same time, the design and application of minicourse base on The breakthrough of the emphasis and difficulty in the teaching process of junior chemistry class is carried out. With this main line, the following aspects are involved in the article:1. Analyzing the Research situation and existing problems at home and abroad through consulting literature materials of the world and studying other scholars’ research about minicourse. This article makes a deep research on the character and definition of minicourse.2. Basing on combining other scholars’ research on minicourse and the course design with the analysis of the current minicourse cases on junior chemistry, the paper presents the principles and the general model of the minicourse design and the aspects which call for the attention during the process of design.3. With the guidance of the general model of minicourse design, the paper designed a series of minicourses on The breakthrough of the emphasis and difficulty in the teaching process of junior chemistry class based on the classification of the points of the emphasis and difficulty in the teaching process. In addition, the designed minicourses will be applied to practice. Transcripts of the users’ interview about the effectiveness of the course are on display in the end of this part.Finally, the research shows that the students who have difficulty on study can get benefit from the application of minicourse in junior chemistry class, the average students can also increase their learning efficiency from it. For a middle-school teacher, it’s convenient to design minicourse by himself (or herself) without any specific devices. So the feasibility of the minicourse design is high. The minicourse can be easily used in class because of its high flexibility.
