Research On The Learner - Centered Kindergarten Teaching Activities

Based on the concept of "learner-centered", this paper has an exploratory research in the kindergarten collective teaching activities in reality.First of all, the researcher made a brief overview of the learner-centered kindergarten collective teaching activities. The theories concerning the relationship between children and curriculum of John Dewey, Humanistic theory, Constructivism theory and Postmodern curriculum theory were combed, which is the theoretical basis of the learner-centered kindergarten collective teaching activities. Furthermore, The theories concerning the relationship between children and curriculum of John Dewey, Humanistic theory, Constructivism theory and Postmodern curriculum theory were combed, which is the theoretical basis of the learner-centered kindergarten collective teaching activities.Secondly, The activity plan text and activity implementation process were analyzed. First, the paper analyzes the activity plan text from three aspects--activity objective, content and process. Based on that, the researcher concludes that both the kindergarten curricula have the orientation with learners center concept, and, there are certain differences between these two. Next, the paper has carried on the concrete analysis of the activity process from four aspects--the flexibility of activity process, providing of materials, teachers’ teaching behavior, and learners’ performance, concluding that there is a gap and shortage in the practice of the concept of learner-centered kindergarten curriculum.Thirdly, the factors which influence the kindergarten to establish and practice the concept of learner-centered kindergarten collective teaching activities were analyzed. Accordingly, this paper put forward some optimization suggestions. Finally, the research was summarized.
