Since the reform and opening up, China’s basic education reform several times, thenew curriculum reform in2001is a new reform, new changes occurred in educationalphilosophy, physical education curriculum to promote human health has become acourse, as a basic human activity Athletics movement remains an important part ofschool sports, school sports throughout the teaching process, plays an irreplaceable role.However, due to athletics monotonous, boring, many schools have abandoned theteaching carried out in this area, so that athletics in school physical education positionwas shaken, and make abandonment, therefore imperative to reform the teachingcontent Athletics. At present, relative to other courses, the degree of attention ofChangchun Chaoyang middle school PE course is still low. Many of the traditional trackand field project gradually withdrew from the sports curriculum or replaced byother programs. Track and field teaching from the hardware facilities to the teachingcontent to students has some problems on the cognition and attitude on the track andfield teaching reform, be imperative. At the same time, the current theoretical research isstill very weak, the new curriculum reform implementation will play a serious obstacle.In this paper, literature, investigation, and mathematical statistics method, the statusof junior high school track and field teaching in Chaoyang District, Changchun City,investigation and analysis. The study found:1,Physical education teachers on the "newcurriculum standard" content mastery and understanding is limited,"requirements of thenew curriculum standard" of the content can not be in the process of teaching is verygood to implement and application.2,Physical education teachers lacks study andresearch of physical education theory, overall teachers still need to strengthen.3, PEteachers and students, there are some deviations for the track and field teaching value.4,Track and field venue and equipment investment still needs to be strengthened. Theseproblems to a great hinder to Changchun City Chaoyang middle high school track andfield teaching smoothly and the new curriculum implementation up. In view of theabove problems, this paper has carried on the system analysis, and put forward somesuggestions to solve the problems, so as to provide beneficial reference to ChangchunCity Chaoyang middle school track and field teaching reform.
