In recent years, accident injuries have become "the first killer" of children in the world, and children are at high risk of accidental injury. Statistics say that child injury occurs mostly in public places where their daily activities taken place. Kindergarten, where preschool children live and play must be the place of high child accidental injuries. In order to assure the children’s health, safety and growth, so to master the correct knowledge of first aid is of both importance and necessity for preschool teachers.The preschool teachers’ knowledge of first aid and skill training also have caused kindergarten’s concern and attention, countries from the perspective of policy support, the teachers’ first aid knowledge and skills to become one of the elements of teachers’ professional quality. But the research on preschool teachers’ first aid knowledge and skill level is less.Research existing more focused on the exploration of training mode, but the training needs of teachers and training foundation,experience and other aspects are less involved.Based on the investigation of kindergarten teachers’ knowledge of first aid and skill level in Xi’an city, the main methods of this research include questionnaire and interview, aiming at understanding preschool teachers’ basic first-aid knowledge level and related training so as to puts forward suggestions and counter-measures on ways to popularize and improve their first aid knowledge and skills level.The main conclusions of the study:1. Children’s first aid knowledge level of kindergarten teachers is low, which nees to be improved immediatelyThe correct rate of questions to children’s first aid knowledge is46.89%±8.80%, answering range accuracy is16.22%-67.57%. No one reaches the proposed standard of USA Academy of Pediatrics. The majority of preschool teachers do not deal correctly facing hemorrhage, syncope, seizures and other common childhood accident. In addition, there is a lacking of confidence in most children’s accidents aiding and a high degree of fear for failure2.It is immediate to Popularize and explore ways and training modes to effectively improve the first-aid knowledge level of preschool teachers. Correct answer rate of preschool teachers who received first aid training and those who don’t has no statistically significant difference. The possible reasons are:those who received first-aid training of children are long time ago; main form of training is still based on traditional teaching with video or video form, which cannot give full play to the initiative of kindergarten teachers’ learning; training teachers are those who deals with health care without formal clinicians guidance and help. In addition, the survey also showed, most of the kindergarten teachers are willing to participate in the relevant training on children’s aid, and holding that the training is very necessary.Based on the above conclusions, I put forward the following suggestions on how to improve the teachers’ children first aid level:1.preschool teacher should have a correct attitude of first aid2.strengthen training on children’s first aid knowledge of the preschool teacher3.do a good job of child injury prevention4.include children’s first aid knowledge examination into the teachers’ evaluation system5.put first aid knowledge and skills into students’ courses in the pre-school education...
