At the beginning of the study, the author issued120questionnaires in Renmin Senior High School of Nanjing, and selected questions through the exploratory factor analysis after recycling, in order to form the formal questionnaire with representative questions finally. After that,600girls from four senior high schools in Nanjing were investigated. The results of the study are as follows:(1)The distributions of the four types of senior high school girls’are as follows: The majority is neutralized individual, reached at43.6%. Followed by the feminine individual and the percentage is28.9%. Then the individual undifferentiated reached20.5%. Finally the percentage of masculine individual is only7.1%. There was a significant difference in the distribution of senior high school girls’ gender roles’four types.(2)According to statistics of the distribution of gender roles in the different dimensions, such as schools, grades, arts or sciences classes and ages, the neutralized individual is the most.(3)After correlation analysis of same-sex relationship and opposite-sex relationship with four types of high school girls’ gender role, the results indicate that girls’male temperament is negative correlated with same-sex relationship, and girls’femininity is negative correlated with opposite-sex relationship, while girls’neutralized temperament is positive correlated with both same-sex relationship and opposite-sex relationship. Their undifferentiated temperament is negative correlated with both same-sex relationship and opposite-sex relationship.(4)After correlation analysis of the ways of parents’upbringing with four types of high school girls’gender role, the results indicate that girls’ male temperament is positive correlation with their mothers’ refusal and denial. Girls’ neuter temperament is negative correlation with their mothers’ refusal and denial and positive correlation with warmth and understanding from their parents. Girls’undifferentiated temperament is negative correlation with their mothers’intervention and protection, with their parents’ warmth and understanding. After correlation analysis, the author also uses the multi-way ANOVA analysis to do a deeper research.(5)The binary Logistic regression analysis found that mother’refusal and denial is the main influence of girls’male temperament. Relationship with the opposite-sex peers has the biggest influence on girls’ femininity. Girls’ neutralized temperament is mainly influenced by relationship with the same-sex peers, then by mothers’refusal and denial, opposite-sex relationship, fathers’ intervention and emotional warmth from mothers in that order. The main factor affected girls’wild temperament is same-sex relationship.(6)Through the analysis of parents, teachers, high school girls’ own consciousness, and school rules, the study found that these several factors have both positive and negative effects on girls’neutralized temperament, with the traditional concept of gender role more or less.On the basis of above research results, this paper proposes from three aspects in order to cultivate senior high school girls’ excellent gender role, including attaching importance to girls’ same-sex friendship and gender intercommunication, improving the science of parents’ parenting styles and building a gender sensitive education mode.
