The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence factors of cognitive development in little girls of 37-48 months. A sample of 481 little girls was randomly selicted from 16 cities in Hunan Province, and the study had been conducted based on the caregive's Questionnaires, cognitive assessment of 37-48 months.Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-tests, one way ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis methods.The major findings of this study were as follows:1.There was significant difference on little girls cognitive development between rurals and urbans.The scores of cognition in urbans little girls were markedly higher than those in rural little girls. The little girls' cognitive development under the diverse areas showed significant difference. There was no significant difference on little girls' cognitive development between Han nationality and ethnic groups.2.The results reveals that little girls' cognitive development differ among family incomes, parental' education and occupation, the only child of a family or not, parents or grandparents caring.The little girls cognitive development under the diverse educational resourses which includes girl's books and toys showed significant difference.3.The little girls cognitive development variables of caregives' gender consciousness, the time of parents-child coreading and palying.4. It is notable that the cognitive scores' of little girls who stay in kindgarden is significant difference from that of little girls who have no kindgarden attendance.5.The regression analysis demonstated that the important factors which influence on children's cognitive development are monther's education,attendance kindgarden or not, the time of parents-child coreading, girls'book resources. Based on these findings, we dicuss the problem of the little girl's cognitive development.Some suggestions and strategies have been put forward to improve the little girl's cognition.
