English course plays a very important role in the junior middle school courses in China. The four basic abilities in English learning are listening, speaking, reading and writing. However, English grammar can never be separated from the four abilities. The researches on English grammar teaching have never been stopped at home or abroad. Larsen Freeman raised the concept of the three dimensional grammar framework at the beginning of this century, which requires the integral of form, meaning and use in English grammar teaching. Concerning the issue that how to teach English grammar more effectively in junior middle school and based on the three dimensional grammar framework from Larsen-Freeman, this study analyses the cases collected by the author in three different aspects—presentation, practice and production. It is found that there are some problems in junior middle school English grammar teaching like lacking of effective teaching methods, unpractical teaching and so on. The author tries to figure out the reasons and to gives some pedagogical suggestions for the problems from three aspects:enhancing theories study, integrating three dimensions and more scientific assessment, which may help to improve the junior middle school English grammar teaching and English grammar learning. So, the learners could improve their ability of using the language.
