Emperor Liangwu was one of the longevity with long reign in ancient China. He had distinctive literati features such as being fond of literature and putting emphasis on the development of education. He ever dominated the country for48years. In the period, the country maintained stable development for a long time, which was valuable in Northern and Southern Dynasties full of war and conflict, Especially provided the development of official education with better social environment. It could reflect the features of official education in the time of Emperor liangwu dominated such as stability, inheritance and development from the research of institutional settings, curriculum, administration and cultural policies. The study of history should also recognize the causal link of the development and change. The article focuses on the historical development from a macro perspective and the background with the analysis of the causes and effects of official education of Emperor Liangwu dominating time, in order to elaborate the link between the educational development and social environment, class system and the system of selecting officials and patriarch.The article body mainly includes three chapters:The first chapter introduces the basic contents and features of the official education based on the historical documents. The institution setting of the official education contains the central government and local officials. Also the chapter introduces the basic information of the education urriculum and administration.The second chapter mainly analyzes the reasons to the development of the official education from three perspectives namely relatively stable social environment, the attention and support of Emperor Liangwu and the promote of the change of the class force.The third chapter father explores the impacts of the official education combining with relevent historical data in terms of political, institutional, cultual and social theory. For example, one of the impact of the official education is that provided another mode for selection of personnel. Also, it provided a reference for the establishment of the examination system.
