The relationship between education and education funds can be simply summarized as whether there is education funds determines the presence or absence of education and education funds is sufficient or not decides the development level of education. This relationship has been mentioned long ago by ancient Chinese thinkers, Early in the spring and autumn period, the famous thinker of qi state Guanzhong has realized that understanding etiquette should put abundant grain storage as the substance prerequisite, awareness of honour or disgrace need sufficient food and clothing to be the material basis; in the late of spring and autumn period, the thinker of lu state Confucius put forward the idea of teaching after being rich; the thinker of song dynasty,Wang an shi was aware of the importance of being wealthy before virtuous. All these above suggest that education needs certain substances as guarantee, and the material guarantee is the precondition of the formation of education and giving play to education role.Therefore, the Correlation and dependence concept of teaching relying on substance and teaching promoting material has become Chinese education tradition, namely, in short, money is neccssary for the school. Researching school-owned land system of song dynasty can not only make us have a further understanding of education funds in song dynasty, and also solve the problems of todays’ education funding in our country. In this paper, involving school-owned land system of Song dynasty, the research content is divided into six parts:The first part is mainly to analysise the sake and the meaning of school-owned land syetem, especially for the actualities and shortcomings.Also introduce the creative and method about the study.The second part is mainly to analyze the form background of school-owned land system of song dynasty, namely the study field system is the product of society background of the song dynasty:In the aspect of economy, song dynasty facing the reality problem that educational expenditures is deficient, The poor and weak economic situation made song dynasty is in shortage of revenue, the school-owned land system can not only solve the problem of education funding, but also can reduce the economic burden of song government; as to politics, cultural and educational policy of Worship of Confucianism and stressing literator as well as Ruling idea of moral philosophy made study field system be one of the means of developing education to achieve purposes; In education, teaching promotion reform Specifies to set up schools in the state, county and other places and Imperial examination reform demands scholars participate in imperial examinations with local education, these reforms Promote the rise of the school-owned land system in the local schools; In terms of thought, The requirements of spread of neo-confucianism Further stimulate the rise of the school, and then promote the existence of the school-owned land systemThe third part is mainly on the generalization of the implementation of the school-owned land of song dynasty s and analysis of its characteristics that are shown. the school-owned land system not only widely exist in the central authority school local government colleges and private schools, but it also has obvious attributes in implementation of the time, place, field types, sources, pathways, size, etc.The fourth part is mainly about the analysis of the income and expenditure of the study field system of Song Synasty. in terms of income, mainly is divided into two areas: First part is the study field rental of the study field, that is, the school does not directly handle but lease to farmers in the form of tenancy,Mainly includes three research aspects such as the rent form, the renter, the situation of tenancy;The second part is the income of school-owned land system, that is to say, schools charge a rent tax, including tax form and rent amount problem analysis of tax form and rent amount problems.
