Bai he is one of the most poorest town in An kang, which is located at the head of Qin and at the end of chu. Too many mountains are there, thus causing economy relatively backward, compared with other developed area. Many traditional sports are gradually disappearing. However, table tennis has it’s own characteristics, for example, it only needs simple playground and simple facilities. Meanwhile, it has a better basis to develop. Therefore, more and more people can do exercise and enhance harmonious development in Bai he.In order to fully understand the development of table tennis in Baihe,by combining with the actual, following scientific principles, the author can visit the field personally, do questionnaire survey, use mathematical statistics method, expert interviews and other research methods to select13primary school,8junior middle schools,2middle schools,1senior high school and the town residents in Bai he as investigation objects. From two aspects of school table tennis in Bai he, one is table tennis sport and the other one is participation in this sport of the residents,I can accurately understand table tennis’ development present situation in Bai he and find out the existing problems, according to the problems to analysis the causes, and put forward some countermeasures to solve the problem. We should provide theoretical basis for training of table tennis activities in primary and secondary schools, popularization and the national table tennis sports reserve talents; growth and development, table tennis in Baihe healthier, meet the needs of local residents, entertainment, enhance the friendship and provide theoretical foundation for Baihe table tennis’development. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Of all the surveyed schools there almost no teachers majoring in ping pang except the one who works in Baihe No. one middle school. Most of the school table tennis areas, equipment only to meet the basic needs of the table tennis teaching. Besides, most of the areas are almost outdoors. The overall quality of school equipment is not high, and there is few special maintenance table tennis venues, with equipment and facilities seriously damaged. There are no table tennis teams in most schools in Baihe except two teams separately in a primary school and a middle school. However, qualified players of the same age are fewer; only two teams have taken part in the competitions in the annual activities in city. There are a number of games in the school, but the school competitions are fewer, no game atmosphere. To a certain extent, it has affected students’ enthusiasm for training and lack of technical communication. There are fewer playing grounds and facilities in the town, and only an amateur table tennis team, even so few competitions.2. The reasons that influence the development of ping pang in Bai he:in middle schools and primary schools, the emphasis of school leaderships, the situations of table tennis facilities, start of table tennis lessons, qualified teachers, construction and management of outdoor activities, table tennis competitions. People in the town, people’s public physical facilities, the trainers of table tennis, the situation of competitions in town or cities, occupation, age, sex, the time when they are in school all influence their cognition degree.3. In order to better develop table tennis of Bai he, we can develop schools basic equipment, residents’public facilities, teachers and coaches, the construction and management of table tennis teams. Lessons, kinds of competitions and rich outdoor activities need to be started. We also need to scientifically plan and dig out more stadiums market.Here are some suggestions as follows:all the related authorities should pay more attention to table tennis sport in middle schools. Areas and equipment of table tennis need to be better. Meanwhile, government needs to invest more money in public sport places and equipment, thus making teaching orderly and targeting, setting up professional table tennis team to develop a good atmosphere to play ping pang. What is more, government needs to introduce new teachers and professional coaches, and organize grander ping pang competitions to enhance players’communication and friendship.
