In recent years, with the promotion and development of the traditionalgourd musical instrument, a sizeable number of instrumentalists and fansof the instrument have sprang up. A great many researchers have beenfocused on the playing skills rather than on the teaching methods of thegourd musical instrument.The teaching of the gourd musical instrument employees the“one-on-one” teaching methods of other musical instruments. However,the“one-on-one” teaching method cannot meet the needs of the currenteducation. The research of the teaching methods can substantiallycontribute to the promotion of the gourd musical instrument.The thesis elaborates on the teaching modes and the existingsituation via a lot of materials, visits and teaching practices. It alsoanalyzes the problems and difficulties of the gourd musical instrumentteaching. It comes up with the small class and differed grades teachingways, aiming to provide a new teaching mode and present some tips.
