Composition teaching is an important part of language teaching, writing is bothimportant method of communication in modern society and is a measure of students’language literacy an important criterion, the composition played an essential role inthe influence of the students’ thoughts and feelings, writing ability students’ languageintegrateda concrete manifestation of the ability. Therefore, emphasis on compositionteaching and effective research, one of the keys to improve writing quality of teaching.With the continuous development of education, many thinkers, writers, and the studylanguage education teaching educator in the long-term practice of writing andresearch, has accumulated a wealth of experience, and composition teaching insightfulviews. There is still a considerable degree of significance of today’s secondarylanguage composition teaching. In this paper, based on systematic introduction to thebackground, current research and the significance of the topic, from the changes ofthe early20th century understanding of the characteristics of the language subjects,Mandarin composition teaching goals change and composition teaching methods trackchanges described above the impact of changes in the early20th century Mandarinteaching writing departure, combined with Dewey pragmatism Education thought,composition teaching thinking tao and summer hideaway respect, for example, toexplore educational thinking under the influence of the early20th century Deweypragmatism Mandarin composition teaching, combined with today’s language coursesthe standard language courses combined with today’s standard analytical Deweypragmatism Education under the ideological influence of the pros and cons ofteaching writing, to the inspiration of today’s secondary language teaching.
