Inequality is an important part of the basic mathematical theory. It mainly studies the unequal relationship between the numbers. Numbers, types, equations, functions and other contents in the compulsory textbooks are closely associated with it that can be applied to solve various practical problems. Therefore, inequality is the basis for further study of mathematics, and also an important condition to master modern science technology. Absolute value inequality is an important part of the inequality, and in recent years its position in the middle school are more and more obvious. It has become one of the hot points of the college entrance examination. This study mainly concerns the exam analysis and teaching design of absolute value inequality during senior school Firstly, it points out the importance of inequality teaching, status and the new curriculum teaching requirements of absolute value inequality, and puts forward the research questions and the purpose, significance and method of the research. Secondly, the author consults the related absolute value inequality literature, summarizes the results of previous research. Thirdly, on the basis of predecessors, the author summarizes the absolute value inequality questions in four aspects and expounds and illustrates the mathematical thought in four aspects. Finally, in the understanding of the features of the current teaching situation and absolute value inequality content itself, combining the relevant theories of pedagogy and psychology, it comes out that absolute value inequality teaching is suitable for inquiry teaching. Combining with the author’s understanding to the inquiry teaching, the author makes the teaching design of absolute value inequality.
