This thesis focuses on the importance of spiritual activities in Herdsmen’s life in present Inner Mongolia based on the field work research in Togrig Village in Gants-Mod town, Uradiin Dumdadu Bannar of Bayanuur City.The thesis consists of introduction, main body (three chapters), conclusion, references and appendix five parts. The introduction summarizes the reason of choosing the topic, research methods, the previous studies, research purpose and the significance of the research. The first chapter mainly talks about the current life situation of herdsmen in Togrig village. The second chapter analyzes herders’religion, mundane life, worship, entertainment and consumption situation. The third chapter analyzes the spiritual life of herdsmen which was presented in the pastoral poet Soyoltu’s poems, from the three aspects of his memories of parents, the praises of hometown and his admiration to the elders and wrestlers in his hometown. The conclusion part summarizes the whole content of the paper as well as the changes and developments of the modern herdsmen’s spiritual life. The appendix consists of the related materials from fieldwork research. |
