The Research Of College Students’ Spiritual Life By Multicultural Context

With the development of economic globalization and political multi-polarization,and with the development of China’s reform and opening up, there are showing theimpact of the collision and the complexity of the situation in this multicultural society.China’s leading socialist core values and heritage of traditional cultural values havesuffered some impact, people’s ideas and way of life is undergoing tremendous change.As "the barometer of the times", the spiritual world of this special group is inevitablyaffected by the social environment, and their ideals and beliefs, values, ethicalbehavior, mental state are changing quietly. Having a healthy mental directlydetermines the success of the growth of college students, so studying the spiritual lifeof contemporary college students, carrying out empirical research about the spirituallife of college students in multicultural background has significant and far-reachingsignificance.Firstly, the thesis defining two key concepts: multicultural, spiritual life of thecollege student.This definition is based on existing research and literature. The thesisalso combing the relevant exposition of spiritual life in Marx and Chinese Marxism,then laid the foundation of this article. Then, author carry out empirical research aboutstatus of the spiritual life of college students in multicultural background. Thefindings suggest that their ideals and beliefs, values, ethical behavior, mental state isinevitably affected by multicultural.We should attend the changes of the spiritual lifeof college students. With the basis of a comprehensive understanding about thespiritual life of college students, the paper analyzes the reasons from three angles: themulti-cultural society, educational system, their own quality. According the reasons ofthe change in the spiritual life in multicultural backgrounds, the author from themacro, meso and micro levels discuss measures: carry out the education in thesocialist core value system; innovate ideological and political education; promotecampus cultural construction; improve spiritual consciousness of improving the quality of college students.
