A Study On The Developmental Characteristics Of European And American Archives Higher Education

In theprocess of accelerated development of globalization, China’s archive in higher education is with gradual perfection but also faces enormous challenges. Europe and North America are the political and economic developed area in the world, while archives in higher education development of where is also leading the world. After a century orso timegradually perfect and mature, the archives in higher education of the area has got rich experience, and becomes the model of archival higher education in the world, which is mainly settled the high level personnel training(Master, doctor) as the starting point of the education system.The great experience is worth our reference and study. This paper is based on the study about the archival in higher education teaching of European and North American area, learns from the advanced experience of European and North American universities, in order to improve the archives in higher education system of our own.This paper is divided into three parts. The first topic is talking about the domestic and international literature review and analysisof related works, for formating the preliminaryunderstanding to the study on this issue. The first chapter is the historical process ofthe development of archives in higher education of Europe and North America overview, summarizes the characteristics of the process of formation and development ofEuropean and North American archives in higher education. The second chapter to the contemporary realistic characteristics of archives in higher education in Europe and North America made a detailed analysis and research mainly includes four aspects, the future trend of archives in higher educationto foster target and level, professional the structure of the course system, teaching methods, professional faculty and students’ employment and archives. The third chapter analyzes the developmentcharacteristics of European and American archives of higher education, and reflects on the shortcomings of current our country archives in highereducation exists, summarizesthe development process of European and American archives in higher education can be for reference, and puts forward the reform of higher education andthe development of our country’s archives enlightenment.
