"Compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard(2011 version)" on the course objectives explicitly put forward the "four base" goal: basic knowledge of mathematics, basic skills, basic ideas and basic experience. A basic idea of common middle school mathematics: the reduction thought, several form combining ideas, classification discussion thought, function and equation thought, among them, the reduction thinking method is the basis of various thoughts and various thoughts and methods of the soul, known as a magic weapon to solve the problem, it runs through all the middle school mathematics content, and the leader of a mathematical method of many, is the basis for other ways of thinking; at the same time, in the teaching process, often encounter students in the problem-solving process, for often see problem will do, for a strange novel topic, be at a loss what to do, they don’t have the strange content into familiar content or transformation of consciousness but consciousness did not find the transformation way, these teachers are needed in the organization of teaching urgently, strengthen application research of the idea in math teaching in junior middle school consciously, to implement the reduction thinking in teaching, teach students to truly understand it and make use of it, is our junior middle school mathematics teachers of serious thought place. This paper mainly involves the following five aspects:(1) by the method of literature research, reviews the domestic and international research on the reduction thought, introduced the concept of the reduction thought and its theoretical basis and application of the idea in the junior middle school mathematics teaching significance.(2) based on classroom observation and analysis of the use of a festival in the junior middle school mathematics teaching to the idea, combining with interview method, the reduction thought penetration study in junior high school mathematics classroom teaching.(3) the combination of simple principle, to the idea of junior middle school mathematics teaching application case study in the familiar principle, intuitive principle and guide students of oblique straight, curved straight, break up the whole into parts, static, dynamic for general application strategy of special.(4) Combined with the experience of their own teaching, summarizes the embodiment of the idea in the teaching contents of junior high school mathematics, citing two cases: one is the reduction thinking applied in junior high school mathematics classroom teaching case, another is the reduction thinking in teaching mathematics application review in the case-- to the junior middle school geometry problems to solve the problem for the case of a right angled triangle.(5) review and Prospect of the reduction thinking method in middle school mathematics teaching.
