During the process of a new round of education reform, the Ministry of Education promulgated a General Chemistry Curriculum Standards (Experimental) in 2003 which is a programmatic document guides draw up the chemistry teaching materials, teaching, evaluation and examination. As a essential part of textbook content, textbook exercises are important ways to students’ self-learning, consolidate the knowledge and evaluate classroom learning efficiency, play an important role in the development of students’thinking, skill and emotion. Therefore, at a time of high school curriculum standards and textbooks are facing to revise, the research of alignment between curriculum standards and textbook exercises has a great important significance.This paper took exercises in elective chemistry textbook "chemical reaction principle" and General Chemistry Curriculum Standards (Experimental) in 2003 as the object, and by borrowing SEC s Model to discuss the alignment between them in two dimensions, analysed the three themes’consistencies of the textbook exercises and curriculum standard.The paper mainly includes the following five parts:The first part introduces the background, purposes and significance of the alignment of textbook exercises and standards, and then, expounds the present situation of the domestic and foreign relevant research.The second part outlines the theoretical basis of the study of alignment, first defines several core concepts, then compares present consistency analysis models, and determine which be used.The third part defines the research object and means, prepares the two-dimensional tables, then makes the coding results to be presented in the tables, lastly calculates the consistency coefficient.The fourth part transforms the data in the two-dimensional analysis form to images, by analysing the two-dimensional consistency characteristics to draw consistent conclusions, and lists influential factors of the alignment.The fifth part according to the consistent conclusion put forward the proposal of revising textbook exercises and curriculum standard, discusses the deficiencies of the study, and then look into the distance.
