A Study On Alignment Between Curriculum Standards And Textbook Exercises In Primary School Mathematics

Curriculum Standard is not only the guidebook of the teaching materials writing,teaching,evaluation and examination,but also a basis of management and evaluation of curriculum in our country,indicated by The Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline(Trial).What are the characteristics of primary school mathematics textbook? How about the alignment level between textbook exercises and Curriculum Standard? As an important part of the textbook,whether the exercises are coincident with Curriculum Standard is worthy of attention.After studying Curriculum Standard,I analyzed form two aspects: on the one hand,I analyzed the hierarchy of the exercises,the material of the exercises and the comprehensiveness of the exercises according to the base idea of Curriculum Standard and compiling suggestions;On the other hand,I analyzed the alignment between exercises and Curriculum Standard in Webb alignment analysis model.Methods in this paper,literature review and text analysis were used.After date analyzing,we can get some conclusions,by means of research tools.Firstly,the hierarchy of exercises is good.There is a statistically alignment between exercises material selection and Curriculum Standard.While few comprehensive questions are written,and there is less connection among the points of knowledge in different areas of content.Secondly,the alignment level at the aspect of knowledge content between the exercises and Curriculum Standard is high.Generally,the alignment level at the aspect of cognitive level between the exercises and the content standard is high,while the cognitive level of “factor and multiple” is higher than the content standard.The knowledge of exercises in all fields is well balanced,except for "decimal","translation and rotation","area of polygon".At the end of the study,I rethink the shortcomings of this study and puts forward the expectation of further research.
