With the rapid development of computer technology, network technology, and multimedia technology as representatives of information technology, Virtual Learning Communities in a variety of forms has entered people’s lives. In order to comply with the development, the College has linked Learning Sciences and Learning Technologies with Virtual Learning Communities so that students in the community can gain a variety of learning styles through self-learning,collaborative learning and research. The key to the successful operation of the community is the ability to attract students of spontaneous participation and the formation of a stable amount of users. A learning community can only be valuable when it can retain users, otherwise, it is impossible to last long. The study selected undergraduates majored in Educational technology of 2011 and 2012,they all have used Virtual Learning Communities" in Learning Sciences and Learning Technologies for a semester, therefore, they all have a good knowledge of Virtual Learning Communities. The survey is carried out by using a questionnaire of Likert5. The first chapter describes the research background, description of purpose, meaning, thesis framework with ideas and research methods. The second chapter focuses on the research status of Virtual Learning Communities and users stickiness related to theories elaborated which paves the way for the preparation of questionnaire and data analysis. The third chapter builds a model to measure the users stickiness through the study of related papers and documents, and prepares for the follow-up verification and modification. The fourth chapter gives a number of measuring metrics for the impact of each factor, creates questionnaire based on these indicators which followed by the issuance and recovery of questionnaire.Statistics is calculated by the usage of Spss13.0 and Excel. This chapter is the core of the whole thesis. only part of the data analysis accuracy. The modification of the previous model assumptions can be valid only when data analysis is accurate, which accordingly leads to the most accurate model of the impact of Virtual Learning Communities factors. The fifth chapter, based on the analysis of Chapter IV,provides with corresponding countermeasures to improve the stickiness of the Virtual Learning Communities, which will help further improve and enhance the platform. The sixth chapter is the summary, which elaborates the inadequacies of the current research and look into further research.Users stickiness of Virtual Learning Communities is affected by many factors. According to the data analysis, factors are followed by satisfaction, fun, expected confirmation, ease of use,a sense of belonging, security and individuality. Therefore, the improvement of the users stickiness of virtual learning communities mainly starts with the above seven aspects.
