In the context of the new round of curriculum reformation, the role and status of teachers and students in the classroom are changing. Strengthening communication between teachers and students is required to make headway in ideological and political course in high school. Based on referring a large number of research findings concerning this subject, the thesis adopted methods of participant observation and questionnaire to make a probe into the communication situation between teachers and students in the context of classroom. The thesis was divided into four parts:In the first part, the author defines communication and teacher-student communication, course and new course, classroom and classroom communication.In the second part, the author investigated students from six high schools in Beijing. The research mainly focus on investigate the willingness to communicate, communication expectations, communication content, communication effects and factors affecting communication to analyze the current situation of the teacher-student communication. The author also summarized the communication problems of high school ideological and political course.In the third part, the author tried to explain the reason why such problem exist from view of communicator communication environment education system, social culture and so on.In the fourth part, the author proposed specific strategies for improving teacher-student communication in classroom. As teachers play an important role in the teacher-student communication, improving the communication situation to be teacher-centered, urging teachers to update the idea of communication, raising the awareness of communication, take advantage of segments of a classroom, promoting effective teacher-student communication and teaching effects of ideological and political course seem to be especially important.
