With the coming of the information era, which makes the application of informationtechnology more and more in the education and teaching, special education as an important partof basic education has entered a new stage of development. In deaf education nowadays, inaddition to imparting cultural knowledge and skills, more important is the cultivation anddevelopment of deaf students’ innovation spirit and practice ability, the level of thinking andemanative innovative ability is closely related to the mind map, and can promote thedevelopment of deaf students’ divergent thinking. The mind map is highly object ofeducational circles. It can be used as auxiliary teaching tool, but also as a means ofteaching inspiration thinking.Based on the existing literature and researches found, mind teaching applications of graphmainly focus on general education, and the mind map into the special education, especiallythe research on deaf education teaching mode is rarely. In actual teaching, with the help of mindmapping tool can be transformed into language material into a hierarchy diagram logicalrelationship, make the teaching content specific, vivid and visual, easy to understand and masterthe hearing-impaired students. This study is based on the information technology curriculum inschools for the deaf as a standpoint, the use of mind mapping tool, to build a suitable for deafstudents teaching mode, and experiments are carried out to study, in order to promotethe development of deaf students divergent Thinking in the teaching goal. The researchresults can be combined as tools for thinking and teaching mode of teaching theory, but also caneffectively guide the practice. This research mainly focuses on the following four aspects of work.(1) According to the characteristics of thinking for students, the feasibility of mind map topromote the development of deaf students’ divergent thinking analysis.(2) To the neurological basis of schema theory, constructivism theory, integrating mindmapping design ideas, developed based mind mapping mode of teaching deaf students topromote divergent thinking development.(3) The students of Qingdao deaf school as the research object. To promoting thedevelopment of deaf students’ divergent thinking, organize and carry out a mind map used inteaching experiments for information technology suject.(4) In the information technology subject contrast experiment is carry out. The studentswere divided into the experimental group and the control group. To exercise statistic analysis after a semester teaching experiment.Through the above research work has been carried out, the main conclusions are thefollowing three points.(1) The mind map is an effective tool for knowledge visualization representation of deafstudents. It can effectively develop the students’ thinking level.(2) Mind map can be fragmented trivial knowledge to build complete systems for easy toremember.(3) The mind map can stimulate students’ interest in learning, promote exchanges andcooperation, and stimulate the imagination and creativity, so as to promote the development ofdivergent thinking.Although the results have proved the new teaching model can effectively solve a series ofproblems that exist in the current teaching, but there are still a small part of the students is notobvious application, how to solve these problems need to be further studied.
