Regardless of the rapid development and dramatic change of the world, early education has always been an indispensible element to any country, for children plays an important role in determining the future of a country. Among the multiple abilities that need to be cultivated by preschoolers, reading ability is concerned as the base for other learning abilities, which has attracted much attention. The developed countries, United States in particular, are devoted to design and improve the standard of language art courses. As can be seen from the standard of language art courses, United States puts forward specific standards and requirements for the early reading education of preschoolers, which focuses on cultivating children’s reading ability. In the meantime, China also pays a close attention to the significance of early reading education, which lays the foundation for cultivating all-round talents. Nevertheless, hardly any relevant standard and requirement regarding early reading education has been proposed, which can only be identified from the book ’Guide for children’s learning and development aging from 3 to 6’.In the process of mastering relevant theories, I gained a thorough understanding of the early reading education by reading domestic and overseas literature extensively. In terms of practice, I took a kindergarten as the research object. Having analyzed the current teaching situation of the early reading comprehension of this kindergarten and the characteristics of the research subjects, a series of reading comprehension teaching plans are tentatively proposed by taking the research findings of ’Guide for children’s learning and development aging from 3 to 6’into consideration. The teaching plans are tested in practice in order to shed light on the teaching of early reading comprehension.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is introduction, which introduces the origin of research, the purpose of research, the significance of research, definitions of relevant concepts, literature review, research methods and the research objects.The second part deals with the design and implementation of Chinese preschoolers’reading comprehension teaching plan. The design and implementation process draws on the following books, i.e.’Guide for children’s learning and development aging from 3 to 6’,’Common Core State language Standards’,’Connecticut English-language arts standards’. This part is conducted according to the course of reading comprehension, i.e. basic course, extension course and modification course.The third part is reconsideration and suggestion, which analyzes the research findings from the following aspects, namely selection of reading materials, teaching methods, teaching strategies and teaching resultant.The fourth part is conclusion.
