A Study On The Migration And Occupation Structure Of Korean People In Yanbian

Chinese Korean National Minority is a cross-border ethnic groups which is come from Korean peninsula, and its formation and development is closely contacted with more than once migration movements. This thesis is about to Yanbian Korean National Minority, with the reform and opening-up policy they are going into the boom of flowing. Compared with others districts and minority, the movement of population of Yanbian Korean National Minority has its own features. With the movement of population the occupational structure of Yanbian Korean National has changed. Relying on their own humanitarian advantage and the geographical advantage the Yanbian Korean National population has transferred from the first industry to the second or third industry, and the population of the third industry has become the main force of economy. As they attached great importance to the education, the occupational structure has developed into the upgrading stage. The number of the mental worker like managers researchers and educators has become more and more, and the proportion of the manual worker has in a downtrend. As one of the areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, the success of the Yanbian’s economic has been obvious to all, and we can draw some conclusion from the success for other areas.This article mainly divides into five parts:the first part was the analysis of the significance of the topic, some references and the research method of the topic. The second part was the introduction of the movement of population several times in history and the formation of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, we can hold this article clearly from a historical perspective through this part, at the same time we can easily understand the characters of the movement of population after the reformation. The third part was the introduction of the movement of population of the Yanbian Korean National. Due to the limited of the statistical material, this part mainly rely on the main years when after the reformation and from the statistics we can draw a conclusion that the population mainly move into Qingdao, Yantai, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and some other cities which gathering numerous Korean companies or move into Korea. The fourth part was the introduction of the changes of the occupational structure about Yanbian Korean National. In this part, we analyze the proportion of workers in the different industry through the change law and relying on the fifth and the sixth population census. Yanbian Korean National occupational structure is obviously superior to the other minority, the number of the managers, scientist and educators is more than other minority. The fifth part was the summary of Yanbian Korean National movement of population and the change of occupational structure, analyzing the relationship between them, and providing some lessons learned to other minority.
