Mr. Zhang Zhigong is a famous linguist, language educator, he and Ye Shengtao,Lv Shuxiang are called "old folk" in the education of Chinese language, whose thinking deeply influenced the development of modern Chinese language education process. Mr. Zhang Zhigong committed to language education theory and practice of work up to fifty years, factoring ancient and modern, and involving Chinese and foreign, for the progress and development of Chinese education has made a significant historical contribution. Although Mr. Zhang Zhigong extraordinary position in language education, outstanding achievements, but his language was not ideological and theoretical education of future generations to inherit and carry forward the good. Since 1997, Mr. Chi Kung died, academic research on his theory gradually cooled off a climax, only after the year 2007 when the new curriculum reflect on malpractice reform has warmed.
