Nowadays, some of the modeling teaching in primary school just blindly imitates the universities and secondary schools, while lacking rational cognition of the characteristics of the mathematical modeling in primary school, or just superficially does the research, while lacking in-depth, systematical thinking, exploring and research.Therefore, based on systematically clearing up the study of the existing literature and theory, aiming at the age traits, the cognitive level and primary school mathematics traits of the pupils, this article is to conduct some systematically in-depth study on the modeling teaching of the primary school mathematics application questions.Firstly, the article probes the value and significance of t the modeling teaching of the primary school mathematics application questions from the point of view of education and teaching, states the meanings of conducting modeling teaching for the primary school application questions, and deeply describes the necessity and urgency of that.Secondly, according to the characteristics of the children’s learning in primary school phase and primary school itself, this article builds a few types of the primary school mathematics application questions’mathematical models, indicates the characteristic of modeling types and its corresponding teaching, and therefore makes the front-line teachers clearly understand it.Thirdly, based on profiling the characteristics and development of several basic mathematical models of primary school mathematical application questions, this article states the main features of the modeling teaching of the primary school mathematics application questions, highlights the difference of modeling teaching between primary mathematics application questions and that in the universities & secondary schools; therefore makes the front-line teachers not blindly imitate the mathematical modeling teaching in universities & secondary schools, but conduct well-targeted teaching according to the characteristics of the modeling teaching of primary school mathematics applications.Finally, on the basis of the perspicuity of the main features of the modeling teaching of primary school mathematics applications, this article expatiates on the basic strategy of the modeling teaching of primary school mathematics applications, strives to well-targeted teach through the use of these strategies, facilitates the upgrading of the pupil’s modeling skills and forms a preliminary modeling thinking. In the mean time, this article expounds the limitations of the modeling teaching of the primary school mathematics application questions and social constraints in the practice, and points out the urgency of the reform of the educational evaluation and advancement of the teachers’ capabilities for the modeling teaching of primary school mathematics applications.
