Mathematics originated from application and the ultimate goal of its development is to solve all kinds of practical problems based on it.Mathematical modeling is such a bridge between mathematics and the real world.It abstracts the practical problems in the real world into a mathematical model,and uses the solution of the mathematical model to explain the real problems.Mathematical modeling is an important way to cultivate students' awareness of mathematical application,stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics,and develop students' innovation ability and practical ability.Therefore,it is very necessary to introduce mathematical modeling teaching into high school teaching.However,due to the influence of long-term teaching mode and the lack of teachers' and students' understanding of mathematical modeling,the teaching of mathematical modeling has not been well applied to senior high school mathematics teaching,and it is even ignored in many schools.Based on the above problems and combined with the current situation of theoretical research at home and abroad,the author conducted questionnaire survey,test paper survey and interview in the teaching schools to investigate and analyze the current situation and existing problems of mathematical modeling teaching in senior high school,and carry out the practical research of mathematical modeling teaching,hoping to explore the feasibility method of applying mathematical modeling in senior high school mathematics teaching.This research is based on the author's own teaching practice,mainly in class teaching,supplemented by extracurricular teaching.Through the following three ways in the classroom: 1.Infiltrate mathematical modeling ideas in the new teaching of concepts,theorems and formulas;2.Introduce mathematical modeling methods in the exercise lectures;3.Consolidate mathematical modeling ability in the review and summary after class;integrate mathematical modeling ideas into daily teaching;and then supplement extracurricular mathematical modeling activities to combine in class teaching and extracurricular activities,which complement each other,It not only improves teachers' ability of education and scientific research,optimizes teachers' teaching methods and students' learning methods,to a certain extent improves students' learning achievements,but also improves students' self-confidence and comprehensive quality,and achieves a better teaching effect.At last,the author summarizes and reflects on the above aspects,points out the shortcomings of the research,and expects more educators to pay attention to and participate in the high school mathematics modeling teaching.
