Chinese folk culture has a long and colorful history, such as High school Chinese teaching material of JiangSu Province, which contains rich factor of folk culture. As a language discipline which has the richest humanities, should assume the responsibility of folk culture heritage; as a Chinese teacher should also completely finds out the folk culture resources of the material, and based on this, stimulates the students’interest in learning Chinese, like with folk culture, promotes their culture and humane quality, enhances their Chinese learning ability.This paper is based on the studies of predecessors, systematically combs the content of folk culture in both required and elective high school Chinese teaching materials. It contains five types, Material folk customs, Social folk customs, Life etiquette folk customs and spiritual folk customs. Analysis shows that, the folk custom culture content in High school Chinese teaching material of JiangSu Province appeared like "in the text, comments, and the whole article", shows the features like scattered, unsystematic. By comparison, in courses selection of required and elective high school Chinese teaching materials of Jiangsu Province, Similarities:folk culture category of the two materials are relatively rich, and folk culture of the two teaching content selection of teaching materials to each other always in proportion to the selected article is bigger; Differences:in the elective materials, the articles which entire article has connection with folk culture increased obviously.This paper also try to spread the folk culture teaching practice research. With three articles of the teaching material, 《The making of Cloisonne》、《Old House》and 《Record of Change Clothes》,which are more full-bodied folk culture breath, as pointcut, carried out by "uncover the mysteries of the Nanjing Brocade" as the theme of the inquiry learning activity, which has carried on the investigation and study about Nanjing residential history and reality, held "whether the middle school students should dress popular" as the theme of the debate. Through these folk culture teaching practice, effectively guide the students to absorb the outstanding folk culture nutrients, improve their humanities cultivated manners, enhance their exploring consciousness, improve their spoken expression ability.
