Basketball sport is an important part of high school sports, more and more favored by themajority of students, high school students to participate in the basketball sport motivation, notonly affects the students’ physical and mental development, but also to the development of thecampus basketball vital role. High school students in different backgrounds have differentbasketball participation motivation and their motivation level is also vary from person to person.Through the analysis and research, we can gain clarity, found the regularity, can this not to thehigh school basketball teaching is of great significance.In this paper, on the basis of reading a large number of documents, through to the BinZhoucity basketball to develop a better high school questionnaire280, using the research methods ofquestionnaire investigation, interview method, mathematical statistics and so on, emphaticallyfrom the grade, gender, origin and difference in form and activity levels of participation,analyzed the high school basketball movement participation motive, BinZhou city high schoolbasketball movement participation motive also draw not only has obvious difference in the aboveseveral aspects, and also have differences in only with the only-child. Therefore, furtherinterviews and observation of BinZhou city high school students, in view of the situation ofBinZhou city high school basketball participation motivation, through research and analysis, putforward the corresponding Suggestions. The results of the study are as follows:1. From the participation and motivation, motivation level affect high school studentsbasketball sports participation way, different high school students have different ways ofparticipating in BinZhou city, the understanding of basketball with them and hobby level has adirect relationship, common performance basketball movement participation motive for boysthan girls.2. From the point of view of different grades, different basketball movement participationmotive has the difference, senior student basketball movement participation motive to weakerthan junior students.3. From the point of view of different students, rural students and urban students aredifferent in the basketball movement participation motive; show the rural students than urbanstudents on students in the basketball movement participation motive of the students.4. From the sports level, professional and amateur has significant difference on students inthe basketball movement participation motive, due to the differences of technology level, performance for the school basketball training members is higher than ordinary students toparticipate in the basketball sport motivation.5.
