| Sports motivation is the motive force of college students participating in sports and plays a decisive role in their physical exercise behavior.Motivation can cause and motivate individual activities.The intensity of motivation determines students’behavior of participating in sports.At present,basketball has gradually become one of the most favorite and most popular sports.It has important value and function for students’physical and mental development.The school offers an optional basketball course,which provides students with exposure to the sport of basketball.Through the investigation and research on the students of the basketball elective course in the universities of Harbin,this paper has found out the motivation of the students of the basketball elective course in Harbin and its influencing factors,and put forward some reasonable and relevant strategies.This article uses literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method,mathematical statistics method this paper investigates the students of basketball elective course in Harbin universities,to understand the sport motivation of college students in Harbin in terms of s timulu s-seeking,knowledge-seeking,achievement-seeking,external adjustment,external internalization,external identity,non-motivation,etc.By comparing the sports motivation of students of different sex,different major,different basketball sports level,city a nd countryside,different basketball sports participation ways,and students with or without fixed companions,this paper analyzes and discusses the different levels of Students’sports motivation in basketball elective course in Harbin universities,and provides reasonable suggestions for clarifying and improving studentsbverall sports motivation.The research conclusions are as follows:1.The internal motivation and external motivation of students in basketball optional course in Harbin universities are at a high level,and the level of no motivation is below the middle level.The intensity of the motivation of the students participating in the basketball optional course in Harbin universities is from strong to weak:seeking stimulation,seeking knowledge,internalizing externally,identifying externally,achieving externally,adjusting externally,and having no motivation.2.There are significant differences in the five dimensions of seeking stimulation,seeking knowledge,external identity external internalization and non-motivation,and there is no significant difference in the dimensions of seeking achievement and external adjustment,and the overall level of boys’motivation to participat e in basketball is higher than that of girls.3.There are significant differences in four di mensions:seeking sti mulation,seeking kno wledge,seeking achievement,external adjustment and so on.There was no significant difference in three dimensions:externalization,external identity and unmotivated.4.There are significant differences in all dimensions among the students of basketball elective course of different sports level,and the students with high sports level have higher level of sports motivation than those with low sports level.5.There are significant differences in all dimensions among the students of basketball elective course in different ways of participation.The students who took part in half-court three-to-three and full-court five-to-five were better than those who practiced alone.6.There were significant differences in the two dimensions of stimulus seeking and external adjustment,but no significant differences in the other five dimensions.7.There were significant differences in all dimensions between the students with and without fixed companions,and the motivation level of the students with fixed companions was higher than that of the students without fixed co mpanio ns.8.The main factors affecting students’motivation to participate in basketball in Harbin basketball elective course are the insufficient attention paid by school leaders and relevant departments,and the lack of innovation in teaching content and teaching methods,the unique weather and climate and inadequate facilities lead to the physical conditions and so on. |
